Health: Paralysis Treatment

Paralysis is described in AYURVEDA in VATA-ROGA.

DEFINATION:-

Paralysis is loss of muscle function for one or more muscles. Sometimes it can also be accompanied by loss of feeling in the affected area.

CAUSES:-

IN AYURVEDA paralysis is due to ‘VATA VIKRUTI’ (imbalance of VATA DOSHA)
Paralysis is caused by damage in nervous system due to stroke, trauma, nerve injury, viral infection in nerve cells, brain tumor etc.

VARIATIONS:-

According to CHARAK SANHITA paralysis could be localized (AKANG ROG) or generalized (SARVANG ROG).Here Maharshi Charak described main types of paralysis as follow.
  • ARDITA (FACIAL PARALYSIS)
  • PAKHSAGHATA (HEMIPLEGIA)
  • SARVANG GHATA (GENERLIZED PARALYSIS)

1   FACIAL PARALYSIS (ARDITA)

Facial paralysis is abnormalities of one side of face. When facial nucleus is affected by infarct of the  pontine arteries it leads to lacunar infarct affecting fibres in the internal capsule to the nucleus. It leads to the facial paralysis…

SYMPTOMS:

  • Loss of voluntary movements of the facial muscles
  • Stiffness of facial muscles
  • Sometimes test is also affected

2   HEMIPLEGIA (PAKSHAGHATA)

Hemiplegia is paralysis of the arm, leg, and trunk on the same side of the body. (One side of the body) the most common cause of hemiplegia is stroke.
Due to stroke blockage of blood vessels in brain occurs. This leads to shortage of oxygen and nutrient materials to brain. This result in the death of neuron this leads to accumulation of watery discharge in dead neuron and surrounding area. This can be seen on CT SCAN dark area compared to normal brain tissue. This is called infarct. It leads to hemiplegia.
In hemiplegia maximum incidence of infraction is seen in basal ganglia region of brain. The injury is usually manifested on the opposite side of the body. If there is injury in right side of brain hemiplegia will be on the left side of the body.

SYMPTOMS:

  • Difficulty in voluntary function of hand and leg
  • Muscular stiffness in affected area.
  • Sometimes muscular spasms-pain.
  • Difficulty with speech.
  • Difficulty in swallowing food.
  • Anxiety, anger, irritability, depression, etc

3 GENERALIZED PARALYSIS (SARVANG GHATA)

Generalized paralysis is full body paralysis. It is neuropsychiatric disorder affecting the brain and central nervous system. The most common cause of it is sudden severe mental tension.

SYMPTOMS:

It is seen in rare cases. Patient usually presented with psychotic symptoms of sudden onset.  In this case the patient would become completely incapacitated and bedfast and then after 3 to 5 years it results in death.

TREATMENT:

  • PARALYSIS IS CURABLE
    • Paralysis is curable at Dr.Amina’s Royal Ayurveda which has already been proved by the testimonials.
  • MEDICINES
  1. SANJIVANI KALP
  2. SANJIVAVI GHRUT
  3. AMRUT KALP
  4. AMRUT GHRUT
If there is infarct  or Hemetoma in brain SANJIVANI TREATMENT should be done
SCHEDULE OF SANJIVANI TREATMENT
FIRST 10 DAYS TREATMENT
SANJIVANI KALP with warm milk twice a day
SANJIVANI GHRUT massage on paralytic parts of body
Result  5%  to 10%
It will remove blockage of blood vessels of brain  so reduces size of infarct or hemetoma in brain and heals brain cells. It will  subside paralytic edema on body and remove stiffness
SECOND 10 DAYS TREATMENT
Need base treatment it will purify blood and also improve blood circulation. the improvement in paralysis will be continue
THIRD 10 DAYS TREATMENT
SANJIVANI KALP with warm milk twice a day
SANJIVANI GHRUT massage on paralytic parts of body
Result  10%  to 20%
It will remove blockage of blood vessels of brain  so reduces size of infarct or hemetoma in brain and heals brain cells.More improvement in paralysis. Patient feels easy to move
FORTH 10 DAYS TREATMENT
Need base treatment it will purify blood and also improve blood circulation. the improvement in paralysis will be continue
Thus alternate Sanjivani treatment and Need base treatment should be given till necessity  of patient. Now in MRI of brain  infarct or hemetoma will no be present. MRI of brain will saw only gliosis( scar tissues). patient will be free from paralysis
THIS ENSURES THE COMPLETE CURE OF PARALYSIS
But if there will be any type of Atrophy in brain paralysis will not be completely cured some defect will be remain.
NOW AMRUT TREATMENT SHOULD BE DONE
AMRUT KALP twice a day with warm milk
AMRUT  GHRUT Massage on head (for best result all hairs should be removed from head)
Gradually blood supply will be increased and  rejuvenation of the Brain Cells will be done so improvement in residual paralytic defect will be start.
