Hyderabad: The world famous Mirchi Yard in Guntur district may accommodate the offices of the Andhra Pradesh government after they are shifted out of Hyderabad.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday told his party MLAs that the government administration will function from the proposed capital area from next June, while Hyderabad will remain the political capital.
While the employees may go red hot, much like the famous chillies of the area, the high level committee of engineering-in-chiefs has recommended that there is 2 lakh square feet of space available in the chilli yard that can be utilised to set up government offices till the capital is built.
