Washington, Apr. 29 (ANI): Google Now has added 70 more third-party partners to its Google Now cards. According to TechCrunch, Google Now started pulling details from third-party Android apps from 40 third-party partners earlier this year. With 70 more partners added, brings the total pool of Now partners up to 110. Google will now display info from 70 more inside the card-based repository. Some partners from the new group include Spotify, which can now offer up playlists based on users recent listening trends and other contextual info, such as time of day; ABC News and Circa for breaking news; delivery reminders for food ordering service Eat24; and fitness progress reminders from apps like Runkeeper.OpenTable will even let users pay their restaurant bill directly from Now. The latest version of the official Google app is required to run the cards from these new partners and that users should have the updated versions of each of the respective partner apps

According to the Verge, Youtube and AwesomeTV will release various feature-length movies during the next two years. Youtube is most likely to go for personality-based films around established video stars. Youtube intends to premier the movies worldwide after which the films may be available on other platforms as well. 

NEW DELHI: Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has released a new marketing campaign that disparages rivals Apple and Samsung, comparing them to diseases. The ad starts with a voiceover talking about fictional illnesses named Bi-phonal Displeasure Disorder, Samsung Affective Disorder (SAD), and Irritable Operating System (iOS). Produced as an advertisement for a treatment to these so-called disorders (caused by users getting bored with iPhones and Samsung Galaxy models), the campaign suggests a medicine called 'Cellami'. After almost a whole minute of talking about the side-effects of taking Cellami (which may cause thoughts of 'Cellucide'), it is finally revealed that this is an ad for HTC One M9.

Mumbai: The Indian rupee on Tuesday strengthened from its previous close, tracking gains in the local equities. Since January, the rupee has fallen 0.16%, while foreign institutional investors have bought $8.30 billion from local equity and $6.71 billion from bond markets The traders are also cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve two-day policy meeting. Analysts expected no change in policy stance from the two-day Federal Open Market Committee meeting starting later Wednesday, as recent domestic data have been weaker than forecast and a strong dollar has crimped export activities, Reuters reported. The rupee closed at 63.15, up 0.55% from its previous close. This is the domestic currency’s sharpest gain since 9 January. mahindra reva e2o Mahindra & Mahindra has slashed the price of its electric small car 'e2o' by Rs 92,000 following the launch of a central government scheme offering incentives on electric and hybrid vehicles. The e2o, manufactured by the company's arm, Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles will see a reduction in price by 16 per cent from its earlier price of Rs 5.71 lakh (on road Delhi) along with a fixed energy fee of Rs 2,999 per month for five years or 50,000km. New Delhi, April 27 (IANS) Passenger car major Maruti Suzuki India Ltd on Monday said it had closed the last fiscal with 33.4 percent increase in profit and 14 percent growth in net sales. In a statement issued here, the company said it had posted a net profit of Rs.3,711 crore, a gain of 33.4 percent compared to 2013-14. The company registered net sales (net of excise) of around Rs.48,605 crore, a gain of 14 percent over the previous year. Last fiscal, the company sold a total of 1,292,415 units during the year, a growth of 11.9 percent over the previous year. Of this, exports were at 121,713 units, a gain of 20.1 percent. The board of directors recommended a dividend of Rs.25 per share of face value Rs.5 for 2014-15.

GUNTUR: In a move that could trigger angry protests, the AP government is reportedly planning to relocate four villages in the proposed capital city. According to reliable sources, the government has zeroed in on Nelapadu, Sakhamuru, Inavolu and Velagapudi in Tulluru mandal for location of the 'seed' capital. All houses and other structures in these villages may be demolished and the people shifted to other places. Although the government is waiting for the master plan from Singapore to take the final call, municipal administration minister P Narayana is believed to have asked some of the local TDP leaders to get feedback from the villagers. The construction sector is primed to be a major tax source in the district post-bifurcation, according to C.P. Rao, Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise, Guntur. Mr. Rao said cement, ceramic and asbestos products had immense demand in the district. “Central Excise revenues from cement industry in 2014-2015 saw an increase of Rs. 46.36 crore, registering a growth of 14.88 per cent. In the case of ceramic products, the revenue registered a growth rate of 23.99 per cent and asbestos 25.32 per cent, indicating a marked increase in revenues,” he added. According to him, the slowdown in the manufacturing industry in the first and second quarter of 2014-2015 had impacted Central Excise revenue. Dollar-rupee futures gained on Friday. USDINR April contract went up 2 paise or 0.03 percent at 63.38 as against previous close of 63.36. The most active April contract witnessed a high of 63.54 and a low of 63.2375 after opening at 63.26. A total of 0.89 million contracts were traded till 12:08 pm. Turnover for April contract was at Rs 56.74 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 1.26 million. Indian rupee has depreciated on Friday against US dollar. Indian currency fell 7 paise or 0.11 percent against dollar to trade at 63.40.

The continued weakness in gold prices is likely to push up jewellery sales by up to 25% this Akshaya Tritiya, considered auspicious to buy gold, according to retailers. "The prices have been stable for quite some time, which we expect will be a boost for jewellery sales during this Akshaya Tritiya," Manubhai Jewellers Director Samir Sagar told PTI. Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government on Friday issued orders for fixing fees in private medical and dental colleges in the state. Fees for Category A (convener quota) seats in private medical and dental colleges have been slashed to Rs 10,000 per annum while that for Category B (management quota) in private medical colleges have been fixed at Rs 11 lakh. Students joining private dental colleges under Category B will have to pay Rs 4.5 lakh per annum. Private medical and dental colleges will also hold a separate entrance test from this year on for admissions into management quota seats in line with Supreme Court ruling. Students can only get admission into Category A seats through the state-conducted Eamcet. Private college managements will hold the MCET-AC test for admissions into (Category B) management quota seats. Tata Motors has made automotive history in Britain with the launch of Jaguar's newest model XE, an entry-level luxury saloon car, at its factory in the West Midlands region of England. The factory at Solihull has traditionally been the home of sister brand Land Rover but the first Jaguar XE saloon rolled off the all-new production facilities at the plant this week. The 500-million pounds "factory within a factory" consists of a new body shop and trim and final facilities.
