Hyderabad: South central railway announced that keeping the heavy crowd in the mind, a special train will be run on the dates of 24th, 25th and 26th. “The special train will be run between Guntur- Vishaka- Guntur. The reservations will be available from today,” said CPRO K. Sambha Siva Rao.
He also said that the arrivals and departures of some other trains were also changed. The changes were made because of BB Nagar Bridge construction.
Guntur gears up for a Swachh Collectorate
Guntur District Collector Kantilal Dande is all set to transform the district collectorate campus into a 'Swachh Collectorate' as it is a district in the capital city vicinity. Considering the importance it is gaining and the State Capital it is playing host to, the collectorate is being given a facelift and is being decked up with greenery and more so a clean collectorate. Already the campus started changing with the development of a beautiful park in its premises.
Kantilal has already issued instructions to the officials that the collectorate campus should be garbage-free. Rs 40 lakh is being spent on giving a facelift to the campus and to be recognised as a model collectorate. Defunct toilets are being repaired and made user-worthy as scores of visitors keep coming to the office every day from different parts of the district and the visitors do not have toilets in useable condition
The collector is also insisting on regular maintenance of the campus and not merely on an eyewash job. Water fountains are being developed in the park in the campus. Also walking tracks have been laid as scores of people visit the campus every day for morning walkers. An exclusive footpath has been created for hassle free entry for visitors.
