Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said the State government was thinking of distributing 'iPad' to all households in the State at an estimated cost of Rs. 3,000 crore. Speaking on the second day of his two-day tour of the Anantapur district, he said the State government was in talks with telecom service providers such as Reliance, Airtel and BSNL to offer 4G services to those iPads so that the best of the technological advances could be known by the people, egging them on to further development. “Even students can reduce their load of books and switch over to the iPad,” said Mr. Naidu, even as he said the State government would make full use of modern technology to reach out and create an interface with the people. Earlier in the day, Mr. Naidu visited the famous Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy temple in Kadiri town and prayed there before proceeding to a dargah close by. KOCHI: I was a focused three-quarters of the way into the Combined Graduate Level Exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on Sunday when I was distracted by this gem:  Q: Who among the following actresses is the tallest in height [sic]?  A: (a) Huma Qureshi (b) Katrina Kaif (c) Deepika Padukone (d) Preity Zinta  Well, I ruled out Preity right away but the remaining three posed a problem. Maybe the guys answering the test, with a keener eye for vital stats, had a better chance of answering the question but I, for one, was ruing the fact I didn't watch the bikini scenes — remember that paparazzi photo of Katrina and actor Ranbir Kapoor on a beach holiday — more closely. Bare feet, unlike stilettos, hardly lie.  Anyway, I finally ticked (c) Deepika Padukone as the tallest of the four ladies, though I did tiptoe for a moment thinking of Huma. The moment of truth, of course, came after the test. Dipika Padukone.  I love my Bol...

Congratulations, you’ve finally convinced the powers that be that your next Web-design project needs to be responsive. It was tough work convincing them, but you can’t rest on your laurels now. The most critical decision of the project remains: how is your team going to build it? Responsive Roundup You're probably familiar with the typical "waterfall"process: start with strategy, then onto design, followed by front- and back-end development and finally analytics implementation. The main attribute of the waterfall process is its linear nature: once a stage ends, the next one begins with a near-perfect dovetail. The progression through the stages only goes in a single direction, and unfortunately as problems accumulate, they inevitably flow downhill and changes are not handled very gracefully. Waterfall process: If you’re unfamiliar with the term "responsive Web design", it describes a website-building process that utilizes the same set of code to display properly...
