“We will increase the coffee production to make AP a brand!” - CBN to officials •Out of the 58000 hectares of coffee plantations in the State, 55000 hectares belong to tribals • Currently, Karnataka is able to produce 700 kilos of coffee beans per hectare, AP is able to produce only 170 kilos • CBN has asked officials to undertake education and training programmes for tribals to equip them with the know-how to compete with their peers from other states and create a brand image for AP regarding its coffee production.
