Shrieks of excitement went up in air even as a dense fog enveloped the Ring Road on Sunday morning. The presence of popular film stars and singers Ali, Nagur Babu and a host of actresses Nikitha, Madhavi Latha got the crowd on their feet. Singer Mano regaled the audiences with some foot-tapping songs. The annual 10-K Walk organised by NRI Group of Educational Institutions drew hundreds of enthusiastic men and women from all walks of life. The theme of the walk — Walk for Health, Walk for Guntur — has been expanded to Walk for Andhra Pradesh. Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, a fitness freak himself, flagged off the event at Indian Springs School, Vidya Nagar, and encouraged youngsters to take up walking as a regular exercise.
